അങ്കാറ: കുര്‍ദിസ്താന്‍ വര്‍ക്കേഴ്സ് പാര്‍ട്ടി (പി.കെ.കെ) തുര്‍ക്കിയക്കെതിരായ സായുധ യുദ്ധം അവസാനിപ്പിച്ചു. 40 വര്‍ഷത്തിലേറെയായി പി.കെ.കെയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ തുര്‍ക്കിയയില്‍ നടക്കുന്ന ആഭ്യന്തര കലാപത്തിനാണ് ഇതോടെ അന്ത്യമായത്.

40,000ത്തിലേറെ പേരാണ് പി.കെ.കെയുടെ സായുധ പോരാട്ടത്തില്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടത്. തുര്‍ക്കിയക്കുപുറമെ യൂറോപ്യന്‍ യൂനിയനും ബ്രിട്ടനും യു.എസും പി.കെ.കെയെ ഭീകരസംഘടനയായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരുന്നു.

തടവില്‍ കഴിയുന്ന പി.കെ.കെ സ്ഥാപക നേതാവ് അബ്ദുല്ല ഒക്ലാനാണ് സംഘടനയെ നിരായുധീകരിക്കാനും സമാധാനത്തിന്‍റെ പാത പിന്തുടരാനും ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്തത്. കുര്‍ദിഷ് ന്യൂനപക്ഷത്തിനായി കുര്‍ദിസ്താന്‍ എന്ന സ്വതന്ത്ര രാഷ്ട്രം എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെയാണ് 1978ല്‍ പി.കെ.കെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം ആരംഭിച്ചത്. തുര്‍ക്കിയ, ഇറാഖ്, സിറിയ എന്നീ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ കുര്‍ദ് ഭൂരിപക്ഷ പ്രദേശങ്ങള്‍ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ത്ത് സ്വതന്ത്ര കുര്‍ദിസ്താന്‍ രൂപവത്കരിക്കണമെന്നായിരുന്നു ആവശ്യം.

കുര്‍ദുകളുടെ പ്രശ്നം ജനാധിപത്യ രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിലൂടെ പരിഹരിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയുന്ന തലത്തില്‍ എത്തിച്ചേര്‍ന്നതിനാല്‍ ചരിത്രപരമായ ദൗത്യം പൂര്‍ത്തീകരിച്ചെന്ന് പി.കെ.കെ നേതാക്കള്‍ ഈയിടെ വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിരുന്നു. പോരാട്ടം അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുമെന്ന പ്രഖ്യാപനം തുര്‍ക്കിയയുടെ ഇറാഖ്, ഇറാന്‍ അതിര്‍ത്തികള്‍ക്ക് സമീപം പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്ന സേനകളെയും വടക്കുകിഴക്കന്‍ സിറിയയിലെ സഖ്യകക്ഷികളെയും ബാധിക്കും. പി.കെ.കെ ഏറ്റുമുട്ടല്‍ അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് തെക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറന്‍ ഇസ്താംബൂളിലെ മര്‍മര കടലിലുള്ള ദ്വീപില്‍ ഏകാന്ത തടവില്‍ കഴിയുന്ന 76കാരനായ ഒക്ലാന്റെ മോചനത്തിന് വഴിതുറക്കുമെന്നാണ് സൂചന.

തുര്‍ക്കിയയിലെ മൊത്തം ജനസംഖ്യയുടെ 20 ശതമാനത്തോളം കുര്‍ദുകളാണ്. വിഘടനവാദ ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നുമാറി 1990കളില്‍ സ്വയംഭരണത്തിലും കുര്‍ദുകളുടെ അവകാശങ്ങളിലും പി.കെ.കെ ശ്രദ്ധ കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ചിരുന്നു.
