ന്യൂവാര്‍ക്ക്: ന്യൂവാര്‍ക്ക് വിമാനത്താവളത്തില്‍ ഒരു ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥിയെ കൈകള്‍ ബന്ധിച്ച് നിലത്തു കെട്ടിയിട്ട് നാടുകടത്തിയ വിഷയത്തില്‍ പ്രതിഷേധം കനക്കുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യന്‍ അമെരിക്കന്‍ സാമൂഹിക സംരംഭകനായ കുനാല്‍ ജെയിന്‍ എക്സില്‍ പങ്കിട്ട വീഡിയോ വൈറലായി. വിദ്യാര്‍ഥി കരയുന്നതും അധികാരികള്‍ ഒരു കുറ്റവാളിയെപ്പോലെ പെരുമാറുന്നതും ഇതില്‍ കാണാം. വിമാനത്താവളത്തില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഹെല്‍ത്ത് ബോട്ട്സ് എഐ പ്രസിഡന്‍റ് ജയിന്‍ ദുരിതമനുഭവിക്കുന്ന വിദ്യാര്‍ഥിയുടെ ഫോട്ടോ പങ്കിട്ട് രംഗം വിവരിച്ചു.

വിദ്യാര്‍ഥി ഹരിയാന്‍വിയില്‍ സംസാരിക്കുന്നത് അദ്ദേഹം ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു. എനിക്കു ഭ്രാന്തില്ല, ഈ ആളുകള്‍ എന്നെ ഭ്രാന്തനാക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുകയാണ് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു നിലവിളിച്ചു കരഞ്ഞ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥിയോട് അമെരിക്കന്‍ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ കാണിക്കുന്നതിനെ മനുഷ്യ ദുരന്തം എന്നാണ് ജയിന്‍ വിശേഷിപ്പിച്ചത്. സാധുവായ വിസയുമായാണ് വിദ്യാര്‍ഥി അമെരിക്കയില്‍ എത്തിയത്. എന്നാല്‍ ഇമിഗ്രേഷന്‍ അധികാരികളെ തങ്ങളുടെ വരവിന്‍റെ ഉദ്ദേശം പറഞ്ഞു മനസിലാക്കുന്നതില്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥി പരാജയപ്പെട്ടു.

സമാനമായ സംഭവങ്ങള്‍ ഇപ്പോള്‍ അമെരിക്കയില്‍ പതിവാണെന്നും പ്രതിദിനം മൂന്നു നാലു കേസുകളിലെങ്കിലും സാധുവായ വിസുയമായി എത്തിയ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികളെ കുറ്റവാളികളാക്കി കൈ കെട്ടി വൈകുന്നേരത്തെ വിമാനത്തില്‍ തിരിച്ചയയ്ക്കുന്നത് പതിവാണെന്നും ജയിന്‍ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ക്കുന്നു. ഈ പാവം കുട്ടിയുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിന് അവനെന്താണിപ്പോള്‍ സംഭവിക്കുന്നതെന്നറിയില്ല എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു കൊണ്ടാണ് ആ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥിക്കായി ജയിന്‍ പൊതുജന സഹായം അഭ്യര്‍ഥിച്ചത്.

ന്യൂയോര്‍ക്കിലെ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ കോണ്‍സുലേറ്റ് ജനറല്‍ സോഷ്യല്‍ മീഡിയയിലെ ഈ പോസ്ററുകള്‍ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുകയും ഈ വിഷയത്തില്‍ പ്രാദേശിക അധികാരികളുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ടെന്ന് സ്ഥിരീകരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. 2009 നും 2024നുമിടയില്‍ 15,564 ഇന്ത്യന്‍ പൗരന്മാരെ യുഎസില്‍ നിന്ന് നാടുകടത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇതില്‍ ഭൂരിഭാഗവും രഹസ്യമായിട്ടായിരുന്നു. എന്നാലിപ്പോള്‍ ബലപ്രയോഗത്തിലൂടെയാണ് ഇതു നടക്കുന്നത്.
